Harley first came into our lives when my youngest child was one year old and whoever thought getting a puppy while caring for a one year old at home was a good idea, well, I might have a bridge to sell you!

Harley was a handful and it seemed all he did was grow, but being such a big boy, he was so loving and full of adventure. He would bring us presents like the occasional skunk, have stand off, gladiator style bark-off’s with our neighbors doberman and at one point, he and his sister scaled a 9ft fence!! While we never knew what type of dog he was, there were suspicions that he had a little bit of gazelle in him and maybe a little bit of black bear.

Harley was an amazing companion through so many good times and an even better friend in those trying times. Most importantly, Harley was the best friend and protector to my daughter for the 13.5 years he was with us. For his size, that was something quite amazing. He stays in our thoughts and lives in our mind’s forever, now will be eternally remembered as the loyal faithful viking he was to us!
